Brent Crude Trading At $72.96/Bbl

Crude oil prices climbed Rs6 to Rs5,834 per barrel in futures trade as participants increased their positions following a firm spot demand. Globally, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude was trading 0.23 per cent higher at $68.91 per barrel, while Brent crude was trading 0.21 per cent higher at $72.96 per barrel in New York. On MCX, crude oil for December delivery traded higher Rs6 or 0.1 per cent at Rs5,834 per barrel in 11,898 lots. Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.
